The Challenge
Departments, study programmes, and student organisations were each paying for a separate hosted link-in-bio account, or worse, sharing one. That fragments analytics, puts campus traffic through a third party, and means nobody can enforce a consistent visual identity. A self-hosted replacement had to be genuinely nicer to use than the commercial tools it replaced — if the editor is clumsy, people quietly go back to Linktree.
The Solution
We built it on Laravel with Octane for throughput, Inertia v3, and React 19 — so it behaves like an SPA while staying a single deployable Laravel app. The editor is drag-and-drop via dnd-kit with themed presets, so a department gets an on-brand page without a designer. Multi-tenancy gives each team its own workspace and folders, QR codes are generated per page for print material, and click plus page-view analytics stay on campus infrastructure instead of a vendor's dashboard. Fortify handles authentication; the whole thing runs on the university's own servers with no per-seat fee.
